Headshots, Atlanta
Headshots that don't look like headshots — for people who'd rather not.
Most headshot sessions are designed around throughput: get in, get a smile, get out, get the file. That works fine if what you want is a serviceable image. It doesn't work if you've been staring at a corporate-bland photo of yourself for three years and feel like it represents nothing about who you actually are.
I shoot headshots the same way I shoot editorial portraits — calmly, with conversation, and with attention to the small things (jawline, hands, what you're doing with your shoulders) that separate a passable image from one you'll keep on your site for five years. The session is shorter than a full editorial portrait (sixty to ninety minutes) and the gallery is smaller (eight to fifteen finals), but the standard is the same.
For individuals: a single session covers one wardrobe, two backgrounds (a clean plain backdrop plus an environmental option if the studio allows), and the retouched gallery within ten business days. If you need both a corporate-clean and a more relaxed editorial version, that's the standard package — most professionals end up using one for one context and one for another.
For teams: I shoot small-team headshot sessions in your office or a rented studio, usually four to eight people in a half-day. Each person gets the same attention as a solo session — same conversation, same wardrobe check, same retouching standard. Larger teams (12+) we'd quote separately because the production logistics shift.
What I don't do: hundred-person rapid headshot days, conference badge photos, anything that's about volume rather than craft. There are excellent Atlanta photographers who specialize in those, and the right tool for that job isn't me.
